About the Scholarship:

MetaApply in Partnership with ETS and the National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) are proud to announce the 2nd Edition of ‘UK-India TOEFL Scholarship’ for 10 Indian scholars. These scholarships will recognize and support applicants who wish to excel in their full-time on-campus undergraduate or postgraduate program at a UK university.

Each selected candidate will get a chance to win a one-time scholarship of INR 2.5 Lacs.

Funds are intended to provide financial support for college expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, housing deposits, transportation, among others. A panel of NISAU and UK University representatives will select the winners of this scholarship. The deadline for the application submission is 15th August 2024.

Successful recipients of the UK-India TOEFL Scholarship will be required to act as a TOEFL Student Ambassador for the duration of their studies, which may involve but is not limited to the following:

Representing as a TOEFL Student Ambassador at Events, Conferences, etc.

Contributing to marketing and promotional activities such as writing blogs, creating video testimonials, etc.

Participating in International student events

Engaging with the TOEFL program as a valued member of our global alumni

A TOEFL test score of 75 out of 120

An offer letter from a university in UK.

Steps to Apply for the Scholarship

  • Step 1: Applicants submit their ETS ID to begin their process
  • Step 2: The candidates who have scored 75 or above will be asked to:
    • I) Fill in details of their Grade 12 scores, Graduation scores
    • II) Write an essay on 'Creating a social impact with a UK-based Education' [500 words]
    • III) Provide a highlight of their personal & academic achievements
  • Step 3: The Essay submission will be assessed along with other personal and academic credentials according to the applicant’s eligibility and the completeness of the supporting documentation submitted by the 15th of August 2024.
  • Step 4: A maximum of ten (10) applicants will be selected and will be sent a notification from ETS India latest by 15th of September 2024.

Applications for the scholarships will close on August 15th 2024.

Frequently Asked Questions

Official TOEFL iBT score reports are not required at this stage of the application. You’ll just need to submit the application details, including your application number.

Any higher education institution in the United Kingdom where you have been accepted into full time on campus academic program for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 intake and a TOEFL test score of 75 out of 120. These conditions will need to be satisfied and verified by supporting documentation for you to be eligible for the UK – India TOEFL Scholarship Program.

Upon the selection for the scholarship, the awardees will be asked to provide their personal Indian bank account information. The scholarship will be a one-time payment of INR 2,50,000 to the awardee’s Indian bank accounts by ETS India, the details of the candidates PAN card and a Cancelled Cheque in the name of the awardee will be sought for disbursement. Payments of the full scholarship amount will be made to the awardees by the 15th Sep subject to verification of submitted information.

The UK–India TOEFL Scholarship Program includes a competitive application process. Eligibility does not guarantee success. All applications are assessed in a non-discriminatory, confidential, efficient, and transparent manner. The selection process will be based upon a comparison of the merits of all candidates.

The assessment and selection procedure will consist of the following Steps:
